I am ( 29th October 2021 ) Never Stop Loving Yourself ( People’s Comments )

I am scared about what is going to happen in the future. What will I be? Will I ever love myself?

In one of my posts, I said something about people’s comments hurting you and making you change who you are.

Not that long ago, someone said that I had a heart shaped face and said some other things. That made me think that I looked weird! I wanted to wear a hijab ever since. It was so no one could see my forehead.

Yesterday, I realised that I was myself: I asked my mum if I can wear a hijab to my cousins house because I didn’t want to show my hair, my mum said no because I need to know why I should wear it before I can!

Also, my cousin is 20 years old and she showed me something. Her blog is about Islam ( journeytotheheartofislam.com ) and she writes about Islam. She wanted to interview me and one of my other cousins and I told her about school and what happened.

She said that I am myself and I have a lovely face. Also boys might make fun of me because they umm.. like me or because they are having problems themselves.

My cousin has showed me so much and because of her, I realised that I should be myself, and also because of my mum and dad!!

We have to learn that we should always be ourselves and that we shouldn’t change just because of a person’s comment. I learnt that now!

  1. Beautiful, Masha Allah. Heart-shaped faces are gorgeous and so cute! I’m sure that boy has some things that people *could* say negative things about. But it’s better to look at things in a positive way, right?

    1. EXCACTLY!
People are themselves and no one has the right to comment about it!
To be honest, maybe they should should change their act because it is nasty and rude and that won’t get you anywhere in life

  2. Asalamualikum little sis! This was an amazing post, it’s wonderful that you can articulate yourself so well and ask such large life questions that a lot of adults haven’t even begun asking themselves.

      1. There’s nothing more authentic than that, so keep going no matter what happens!
People will continue to say mean things regardless of how old we are and we can’t control them, so we all must learn to control our own response to keep our happiness.

  3. Beautiful article, you’ll come to realise people who say hurtful things is often a reflection of themselves and their insecurities.
